Who is this?

Who am I? Who are you? and how did you get here?... I was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. I graduated from Eastern Illinois with a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Technology, concentrating in Digital Imaging, Digital Printing, and Web Development. During my time at EIU, I went through many classes which required me to learn new programs. The first programs I was introduced to were the Adobe programs, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I have also used a few CAD programs called Solid Works and Chief Architect throughout my classes at EIU.

Since graduating, I have started my career in Manufacturing, but always kept the passion for Web Development. I have continued working on my education and skills. I have taught myself Javascript, JQuery, and AngularJS. I enjoy learning new things and creating, which is why I continue to work on my personal websites.

Outside of my work and career aspirations, I enjoy being an active individual. I am a huge baseball fan--my family takes yearly trips to follow the White Sox out on the road. I enjoy playing softball and taking trips to ski with friends in Colorado or Wisconsin. I love music and dissecting the lyrics and have grown to enjoy all types of music... even Country!

Projects

The Sox Trips website is a project I began to capture some of the memories we have made over the years when we travel to other cities to see the White Sox play on the road. I started it with the idea of learning new skills and practicing web development and enjoyed doing so while also creating a catalog of our adventures .

My photography focused website was an idea of a way to display my passion for photography and improving my skills with DSLR cameras and image editing. I've always enjoyed photography as an art and saw this as another opportunity for a creative idea to continue gaining skills in web development. With this website I began putting together my code with a cleaner approach and began implementing Javascript. I intend to continue using this website as a type of image blog for my travels and random photography.
